Vlog # 3 – My new office and getting new social media marketing clients
Welcome to the office, Vlog.
I Haven’t made a vlog update in quite some time due to how busy I’ve been. But lots has changed in the last few months and I am pleased to finally share the office with you! We have mainly been working on picking up a few more clients. Also, at the same time, maintaining the websites and contracts we have with our present clients. Primarily, we are working on fully integrated digital marketing packages for our clients. This involves, setting up a website and social media accounts for various local businesses. Using the social media accounts we drive more traffic to their websites, thus increasing their customer leads. Using the analytics we get from the integration we are able to update and adjust the strategy over time. This process can maximum profitability and growth.
What I’ve learned:
First off, getting new clients is not as easy as a simple persuasive phone call as many make it out to be. In fact, this process often involves many meetings with the client and often some conversations that many people will find uncomfortable. Personally, I have struggled with officially closing the deal. While I have been able to locate potential leads, get in touch with the decision maker, setup several meetings and even get the client to agree that they need our service, delivering the final contract, and receiving the first invoice has been my biggest hurdle. I fully believe in the product and service we are offering, yet I still find myself struggling to charge people what our service really costs.
While I know I still have much to learn, especially as far as sales, I do find a big part of it comes down to my age. While being so young, it is sometimes difficult to convince the potential client to cut you a fat check, even if they know your service is worth it. I often find the client expecting our services to be cheaper off the bat, just because we are not as old as our competitors, even though our service is arguably better.
Anyways, stay tuned for more updates on growing our business! Hopefully I will release another vlog soon!
We hope you are able to learn something from our experiences!
